(As read by Heidi (Neft) Lee at the 20 year reunion)

24 years ago next month, the class of 1988 walked into Williston Senior High School for the first time as a freshman. Some of us were scared, maybe a few were a little reluctant and a few of us were fairly confident and ready for a challenge.

We all came together from different walks of life, each of us bringing our own opinions, thoughts and views on home work, teachers, schedules, the clothes we needed to wear and the people we needed to hang out with.

No matter who we were though, it all came down to the fact that we were the proud and "happinin" class of '88!

After 4 years together we had finally made it across the stage to start our own futures. Some of us went on to college, some into the military and still others got married and started a family. Most of us are doing very well and we are here tonight thinking about the days of the past, sharing stories of new lives and remembering stories from before.

As we continue to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our High School graduation, I ask you all to take a few minutes with me, to remember the members of our class whose lives were unfairly ended. Whether it was an accident, illness or unknown, we honor them tonight.
